Patent Registration

Patent Registration in Pakistan under the Patents Ordinance, 2000, protects new inventions. The process involves filing an application with the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) providing details of the invention. Once approved, the patent grants the inventor exclusive rights to make, use and sell the inventinon for a specific period.

Requirements:

•  Form P - 1 or Form P -1A application without priority
•  Form P - 2 or Form P - 2A applicaton with priority 
•  Form P-3 for provisional or Form P-3A for complete specification
•  Patent Specificaton
•  Drawing(s) , if any 
•  Demand Draft / Pay order of fee as applicable per work
•  Form P - 28(power of Attorney) if any 
•  Priority document
•  CNIC of the Copyright application
•  Other Information or Documents as required
